Huawei. The Chinese company's products have been officially banned in a new European country by the local government, all because of an apparent confirmation of the security problems the company's products have. We are talking about the Czech Republic, a country where the authorities had announced since December 17 that they had analyzed Huawei products, and they came to the conclusion that they really represent a risk for the country's national security, and they were then banned by the government.
Huawei. We are talking about the complete ban of Chinese products, including those from ZTE, in state institutions, and here we are also referring to mobile phones, which is exactly what was done in the USA at the beginning of this year. Practically now all government employees will have to use any other kind of mobile phones, as long as they are not produced by Huawei and ZTE, the measure being the first of its kind taken by any government in Europe against the companies.

The decision of the Czech Republic is only the first of its kind, because even governments could take similar decisions, this after it was decided in some countries that Chinese equipment should not be used for 5G networks. The saga unfolded after the Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency on December 17 warned against using Huawei and ZTE, saying they posed a national security threat. Babiš subsequently announced that employees of the Czech government's central administrative body would be barred from using Huawei and ZTE products, a ban copied by several other government ministries.

The decision of the Czech government has already been criticized by the Chinese ambassador in the country, and of course there are many discussions on this topic, because the Chinese government protects the company as if it belonged to it. Although there is currently no clear evidence published to confirm the fact that Chinese products are a risk for the national security of any country, the way the company is protected is the close relationship with the government in Beijing.
