Apple. NEW Round of DISCOUNTS for Many iPhone Models

Apple has applied a new round of discounts for its iPhone phones, here's how much the models sold by the American company have now become cheaper.

Just a few days after I told you that the prices of some iPhone models have been reduced by the Apple company, today we find out that that information presented only half the truth, and that the situation is much more serious. We told you then that Apple would have reduced by 10% the prices of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, XR, XS and XS Max phones that it sells directly to retailers in China, but in reality the discount offered for some is much higher than what I found out.

Apple has, in fact, allowed its partners in China to sell the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and XR phones with discounts of up to 20%, some of them already applying on their own websites. Apple has not yet reduced the prices of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and XR on its own website, but its partners have, and the double discount means that the phones are cheaper by more than 100 dollars, in some cases, so they become much more affordable for the Chinese.

JD.com and Suning are two of the important partners of the Apple company that sell the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and XR phones with 20% discounts at the moment, the iPhone XS and XS Max models being excluded from these promotions. The phones are more expensive than in the US at the moment, but those from Apple seem to have brought the models much closer to the prices at which they are sold on the American territory, all in the hope of substantially increasing their sales.

Several local retailers, including Alibaba-backed JD.com and Suning, have introduced huge discounts on Apple's top-of-the-line smartphones. Suning slashed the price of the 128 GB iPhone XR model from $1,036 to $858 – a 17.1% discount. Another retailer is selling iPhone XS, Apple's most premium smartphone, for $1,436, which is almost $200 less than Apple's official price in the US.

The choice of iPhone 8, 8 Plus and XR for these 20% discounts is made especially because these models have recorded the best sales of all the top models that are still on offer. The iPhone XS series remains seen as a premium one by the Apple company, and apart from the almost 10% discount applied the other day, it is unlikely that we will see any more, the Americans focusing on these three models, which are much more affordable.
