eMAG. The identity of the online store is used today as the source for a new scam targeting naive Romanians who think they can get free iPhones, Samsung phones, laptops, vouchers, everything seems to be a fake store loyalty campaign. The section aimed at Romanians who are customers of eMAG, or at least know about the store, is divided into two, one in which gifts are offered for providing certain data, and another in which vouchers are offered, under the same conditions.
eMAG. Teapa in its first form involves accessing a website where people are asked to choose a gift product to receive, be it an iPhone, Samsung phone, a laptop, etc. After that they are asked to enter an account, without specifying whether it is from eMAG or from somewhere else, but that is not all, because continuing the process to complete and receive a gift also involves entering the card data, which is not it has to be done.

eMAG. The second version of the scam, according to CERT-RO, involves offering vouchers with various values for providing information about bank cards or accounts, everything being very similar, and of course with the link between the campaigns. In both situations, the eMAG image is used because we are talking about a very popular online store at the moment, and a lot of people trust, sometimes blindly, the information they see about it.
Two #scam campaigns target eMAG customers during this period. The first of these tries to convince users to provide personal data, login data or banking data. Visitors to a website that allows online conversion of video content and who enter from an IP address in Romania are shown a new page, which copies the visual identity of eMAG.
eMAG. The online store has nothing to do with these tips, and if it offers gifts for customer loyalty, then you will see the campaigns including within the online store, or only on its pages on social networks. In this idea, you should not be fooled by the hackers who try to steal your data taking advantage of the image that eMAG has, but also of the trust it enjoys among customers from all over Romania.
