According to Huawei representatives, in Romania, about 4 million smartphones are sold annually, the vast majority of them from Android manufacturers, which leaves Apple in a rather insignificant position in our country, unfortunately for us.

Regarding the most popular phone model sold by the Chinese in Romania, well, it seems that the Huawei P20 Lite is the phone that captured the attention of Romanians, that is, the cheapest model in the series launched last spring. We already know that the vast majority of phones sold by Huawei globally are the cheap ones, and now we have a confirmation, if it were needed, that the same units are preferred in Romania.

Despite this, those from Huawei said that at the end of 2018 they would have managed to climb to the 2nd place in Romania in the top of the sales of phones costing over 800 euros, with the Mate 20 Pro, of course following a model of Apple's iPhone.
Cheaper models are predominantly sold at operators, while top products are also bought from the open market. We climbed to second place in the sales of phones over 800 euros in Romania, and the Mate 20 Pro was only launched in October. Of the 200 million phones sold in 2018, around 15 million are from the P20 series, and about five million are from the Mate 20 series.
