Apple is hastening the release of the smart glasses that it has been developing for about 2 years, here is how they will work with iPhone phones.

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), hastened the project by which he wants to bring to the market a pair of smart glasses, the American company intending to launch this product in 2019, not later, as some previous rumors said. Although there is some confusion regarding the type of product that will be launched, i.e. smart glasses, or a headset for augmented reality, it seems that the first type of product is the one that would reach users this year.

Apple's smart glasses would be dependent on iPhone phones, which would process images and functions for augmented reality, so they would not have much processing power. the idea is similar to what happened with the Apple Watch, but here Apple wants to make a pair of smart glasses that are light and thin, so that people are really interested in buying them after the launch.

The smart glasses from Apple would have at least one screen to display images on at least one of the eyes, but also at least one camera, probably 3D, to facilitate functions based on augmented reality. Apple sped up its smart glasses development project because there is a lot of interest in the US, and not only, for such products, with Google Glass 2 also being prepared for launch in the very next months.

Guo Minghao also expects that Apple's first-generation head-mounted AR device will be mass-produced in the fourth quarter of this year to the second quarter of next year. Taking into account the technical limitations, Guo Minghao pointed out that the Apple AR device will be integrated with the iPhone, the iPhone is responsible for computing, networking, indoor positioning and outdoor positioning, and the head-mounted AR device plays the display role.

Exactly when Apple's smart glasses will be launched at the end of 2019 is not yet known, but most likely they could be announced somewhere around October, November, although the launch could be postponed to 2020. If we are to be completely honestly, I think that smart glasses with augmented reality are the last really useful thing that Apple's customers would have needed, but those from Cupertino are also doing what they can.
