Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will present on March 25 a new video streaming service on demand, and contrary to the rumors that appeared in recent months, it seems that it will not be a competitor for Netflix. The service giant Netflix it will not be available in the new video streaming platform that the Apple company will launch, but even so, those from Cupertino will not compete with them for now.

Apple has invested heavily in the production of its own creations for the video streaming service, but for now it does not have enough to compete with Netflix or other similar platforms in the US. In this idea, those from Apple will for now focus on selling competing video streaming platforms, which will bring them a consistent number of subscribers, at first.

Apple will gather video streaming services on demand from various areas around the globe, or at least some of them, in a single application through which people will be able to subscribe to them. Apple will allow people to see through a single application everything they used to see through several separate ones, but will also sell promotional packages for services, which will cost less than if they had contracted each service separately.

After years of circling the TV business, Apple is finally ready to make its big splash: On Monday it will unveil its new video strategy, along with some of the new big-budget TV shows it is funding itself. One thing Apple won't do is unveil a serious competitor to Netflix, Hulu, Disney, or any other entertainment giant trying to sell streaming video subscriptions to consumers.

Apple failed to convince those at Netflix of the usefulness of its video streaming platform on demand, but other services would already offer their content for the service. The only question is related to the availability of this new platform, those from Apple being able to launch it only in the USA, or even in many other areas of the globe, but for now it is not known.
