More precisely, it seems that in Bucharest, RCS & RDS, and other internet service providers, had problems due to the fact that some overhead cables were cut by employees of the Sector 4 City Hall without notifying them beforehand.

The situation is identical to the one encountered in Timisoara just a few weeks ago, where several thousand people remained without television, internet or telephone services following a similar situation. And the mayor there wanted to get rid of the overhead cables in the city center, and in Sector 4 in Bucharest, the mayor's office wants the same thing, but those from RCS & RDS, and other companies, discovered everything only after cutting the overhead cables.

The first cables were cut in the night between April 19 and 20, while the second cutting session took place between April 22 and 23, the companies must have been notified in advance about what was going to happen. Between internet and television service providers, there have been disputes regarding overhead cables for years, and town halls have been trying for a long time to force companies to "bury" them, but RCS & RDS, and the rest of the groups, have not yet succeeded in doing so .
Although ANISP supports the development of underground networks, in urban areas, we draw attention to the consequences of reckless interventions on overhead networks. We emphasize once again that the local authorities must allow a sufficiently large time interval for the effective migration of overhead networks underground.

For years there has been talk about burying the internet cables in Bucharest and other big cities, and the idea itself is very good, because the network is very poorly made, from many points of view. The problem is that the solution is not simple, and anyone who has heard of Netcity knows what the situation is, neither RCS & RDS, nor other internet service providers, not being willing to make major changes, and the town halls are trying to force them to do them .
