RCS & RDS. Vodafone, Orange, Telekom are the largest telecommunications operators in Romania, with tens of millions of customers combined in our country, many of them not knowing what the obligations of the companies they buy services from are. Fortunately for us, those from ANCOM have listed the obligations that RCS & RDS, and the rest of the telecommunications operators have in front of their customers, and below you can see what you need to know right now.
RCS & RDS. According to those from ANCOM, before a Romanian concludes a contract with a telecommunications operator, he must receive from it, the following essential information for the development of the contract:
- the essential characteristics of the services/equipment offered;
- the rates and their calculation method, the benefits, options and extra options included;
- the minimum contractual period;
- the right to withdraw from the contract and the conditions under which the user can exercise this right;
- the methods of payment, delivery, the date by which they undertake to deliver the equipment.

RCS & RDS. The above obligations apply to all telecommunications service providers in Romania when they conclude a contract with a client, and failure to comply with them may lead to the invalidity of the respective contract. In quite a few cases, those from RCS & RDS, or from other companies, do not provide the correct information for clients, or do not respect their obligations assumed at the conclusion of the contract, in many cases blaming the clients for its non-fulfillment.

Those from ANCOM still say that Romanian legislation obliges all telecommunications operators to provide at least the above information for customers when concluding a contract, every time. Regardless of whether a customer concludes a contract with RCS & RDS, or other operators, remotely, or directly in a store, all this information must be clearly presented before that contract is concluded.
RCS & RDS. I recommend that you pay close attention to these details when you make the decision to conclude a contract for telecommunications services, because you may want to terminate it someday, and the operators are sometimes uncooperative.
