Digi | RCS&RDS. The Romanian company applied a new price increase for some of the services it offers to Romanian customers, and this only a few months after the one applied at the beginning of the year. This time we are not talking about telephone, television, or internet services, but about the electricity provided by Digi | RCS&RDS, for this a price increase was applied in January, another one coming now for residential customers.
Digi | RCS&RDS. In January, the Digi Energy company applied a 30% increase for the prices of the services that customers benefit from, and now it applied another 20% increase for the prices of its services. Until now Digi | RCS&RDS was recognized as the electricity supplier with the lowest prices in Romania, but this is no longer true following these two price increases, which unfortunately put customers in a rather unpleasant situation.
Digi | RCS&RDS. NEW PRICE INCREASE for Customers
Digi | RCS&RDS. The price of the energy that the company supplies to customers would now be 27% higher than the one regulated for Bucharest, for example, compared to the operator of last resort, Enel Energie Muntenia. On the invoice, the cost would be only 13% higher than that of Enel Energie Muntenia, but to that is added a reservation fee of 6 LEi per month, which does not exist for regulated operators, so in the end the total costs are higher at Digi | RCS&RDS, instead of being smaller.
Digi | RCS&RDS. For customers who also have television and/or internet services from the company, the price of electricity is slightly lower than for customers without adjacent services, but even so it is 16% higher than the one regulated by ANRE. The good part is that the current customers of Digi | RCS&RDS will not see the higher price on the invoices, they continue to benefit from the one agreed upon signing the contract, so the new prices apply only to new customers, or those who extend their contracts.
Digi | RCS&RDS. Practically, in 2019 the company increased the prices for almost all the services it offers in almost all the areas in which it operates, GEO 114/2018 affecting these decisions to a large extent.
