Huawei. The Chinese company is now at the center of a very important warning made by the former director of MI6, the foreign intelligence service of Great Britain, the blow for the Chinese being an important one. Sir Richard Dearlove is the man who makes this warning about Huawei, and China in general, starting by saying that everyone who visits the country should buy a "disposable" phone to use there.

Huawei. Working for 38 years within MI6, the former director found out a lot of important information about how the Chinese company works, but also how the Chinese government can force it to do whatever it wants. Dearlove says that Huawei could be forced by the government in Beijing to hide spying chips in the 5G equipment that will be used for the phone networks that will be launched in the UK by the operators.

Huawei. WARNING from former MI6 DIRECTOR

Huawei. The former director of MI6 fears that the Chinese 5G equipment can at some point be used to create blockages in the country's telecommunications, or to take control of certain elements of the infrastructure. He says what we have also heard from the US for almost a year now, the Americans repeatedly saying that Huawei has the ability to spy on the communications of some countries, but also to control the way 5G equipment is used, upon request the Chinese government.

Huawei's involvement in building the network, which will allow consumers to download films on their phones in seconds and enable the development of sophisticated technologies like self-driving cars and artificial intelligence, could lead to security risks. Sir Richard, who worked across the world as a frontline MI6 officer before rising to lead the organization, warned Huawei could be ordered by the Chinese state to insert secret chips into 5G infrastructure that could be 'triggered' to disrupt British technology. He said Huawei's insistence that it is independent of the Chinese government was 'irrelevant'.

Huawei. Even Chinese mobile phones are not seen as safe by the former MI6 director, but iPhones and iPads should not be taken by people and used in China either, as they could be easily spied on by the government. The former director of MI6 harshly criticizes the British government for allowing the use of Huawei equipment for 5G networks, saying that this puts the country at a very high risk, but his opinion does not seem to matter.

Huawei. In the end, Sir Richard Dearlove states that all the company's statements denying the connection with the Chinese government are irrelevant, and the help it has received seems to confirm this, without any doubt.
