Vodafone. THE PROBLEM with the First 5G Network in Romania

Vodafone. The first 5G network in Romania was launched by the mobile operator, but it also has a problem that could have a major impact.

Vodafone 5g problem

Vodafone. Yesterday he announced the launch of the first 5G network in Romania, the mobile phone operator coming to the market with a premiere that sounds good in theory, but in practice it is far from useful. Although Vodafone launched the first 5G network in Romania, at the moment they don't even have compatible 5G phones that can be used in it, only those who buy 5G phones from other countries can benefit from the network of 1 Gbps, and only in certain areas of the capital.

Vodafone. However, the big problem of the telephone network is not that, but it could be very soon due to the fact that Huawei is one of the equipment suppliers on the basis of which the infrastructure was created. Huawei and Ericsson are Vodafone's equipment suppliers for the 5G network, and this in the conditions where Chinese telecommunications products have been totally banned in the US, partially in Great Britain, and the European Commission will have to make a decision in the summer.

Vodafone. Although for now no one forbids Romanian operators to use telecommunications equipment from Huawei or ZTE, this could still be imposed by the European Commission in the summer. Until July 1, member states must analyze the security risks they could have if they allow the use of Chinese telecommunications equipment for mobile networks, and Huawei risks being banned in the EU, which would be problematic for Vodafone.

Vodafone. Of course, the other operators in Romania use equipment from the Chinese, the Supernet 4.5G network being made with their equipment, so a ban in the entire European Union would be a hard blow. Not only Vodafone would be seriously affected, but also Orange, Telekom, or RCS & RDS, all three of these companies having large parts of their infrastructure made using equipment from Huawei, or even ZTE.

Vodafone. Until then, if you somehow come into possession of a 5G smartphone, then you can search the capital for the network signal to enjoy speeds of up to 1 Gbps.
