WhatsApp. The change that lit up the entire INTERNET

WhatsApp. The largest messaging platform on the planet currently has over 2 billion users worldwide, and such a large community is not that easy to please. However, although until now the company behind WhatsApp has not had too many complaints, a change already announced by the company, and presented recently, has generated heated discussions among users around the world.

WhatsApp. I am of course talking about the ads that the messaging app is going to display for users starting next year, the first images of how they will look are already appearing on the internet. We are talking about advertisements that will be displayed within the function Status of the WhatsApp application, and people have already started to announce that when ads invade the application, they will look to switch to the competing Telegram platform.

WhatsApp. The change that lit up the entire INTERNET

WhatsApp. The threats and criticisms brought to the company behind the messaging platform came from the very moment when its former president decided to publicly announce the fact that the advertisements will end up in the application. The founders of the messaging platform WhatsApp left the company, after it was bought by Facebook, because they could not stop the display of ads in the application, and now the users are threatening to do the same, and they represent the biggest loss.

WhatsApp. Ads will initially be displayed only in the stories that users publish directly through the application, but from here it will also move to the next level, that is, to display ads among chats, or even in other sections. Seeing what happened with Facebook Messenger, which places ads almost everywhere, those who use WhatsApp fear that the same thing will happen with this platform, and threaten to leave the platform if they are integrated.

WhatsApp. For now, we still have at least 7 months until the ads invade the WhatsApp app, so we just have to see how aggressive the implementation will be in the end.
