Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has been boasting for several months about its unusual transparency in terms of the services and products it offers, and we have a clear proof today. In a very interesting document, those from Apple present all the software from third-party companies, including Google and Facebook, which is used for iCloud by it.

We are talking here about any kind of software, from fonts to JavaScript scripts, with Apple detailing everything they use in iCloud. In total, there are no less than 116 entities that are listed as having the software used for iCloud, in various ways, those from Apple using whatever they needed to create their platform.

It's very interesting what Apple is doing here, as its competitors don't have a similar level of transparency about the software they use from third-party companies. This shows us very clearly that Apple is trying to create the impression that it is very important for everyone to see very clearly what it offers in terms of services.

"The licensed software ranges from fonts used in the service to functions such as Javascript libraries, including Google's Closure Library and the jQuery Foundation's separate one. While Apple does not disclose which precise elements it uses from these libraries, Google's one is intended for functions ranging from animation and user interface controls to server communication and text editing."
