Telecom. SOLD BY PIECES to RCS & RDS, Orange, and RUSSI

Telecom. The company is prepared for piecemeal sale to RCS & RDS, Orange, and an investment fund from Russia, that's how quickly the contracts will be initialed.

Telekom sold

Telekom. The Romanian mobile telephony group is to be sold piecemeal to RCS & RDS, Orange, and an investment fund from Russia, the company being able to completely disappear from the Romanian market. It seems that Deutsche Telekom is in advanced negotiations to sell all Telekom divisions, i.e. both Telekom Romania Mobile Communications and Telekom Romania Communications, so the current customers could be divided into separate companies.

Telekom. It seems that RCS & RDS is going to buy the television division within the company, and this, even though Digi already has the largest number of customers in the country in this segment, but it seems that they want a monopoly. The mobile telephony division would go to Orange, which would once again have almost a monopoly in the country, the number of Telekom customers being over 5 million, so the "oranges" would increase their customer base by 50%.

Telecom. SOLD BY PIECES to RCS & RDS, Orange, and RUSSI

Telekom. The landline and internet divisions, i.e. the former Romtelecom, would end up in a Russian investment fund, which would represent Romania by Spas Roussev, and that would not be such good news. Although I think that everyone expected that RCS & RDS would buy the telephony division, and Orange the television division, to cover their shortfalls, in reality things will be much different.

Telekom. RCS & RDS does not necessarily need television customers, but those of the mobile telephony division, together with the operator's infrastructure, would have helped much more to expand its services. It is still possible that the mobile telephony division is too expensive for RCS & RDS, and Orange can afford to buy it, and thus Telekom is sold piecemeal, although it generates revenues of 1 billion euros annually, and makes a surprisingly good profit .

Telekom. Although almost 5 years have passed since Deutsche Telekom bought Cosmote and Romtelecom, it still failed to achieve in Romania the success it achieved in other European countries, and how they want 1 billion euros for their shares.
