FBI. The American federal agency made a worrying announcement about what it intends to do in the coming months, and a lot of people were "put on guard" about the changes to come. More precisely, those from the FBI are interested in gathering more information about American citizens, so they launched contracts for the development of software to allow them to more easily follow people on social networks.
FBI. The American federal agency says in its contracts that it would like to collect information on terrorists, people who may be a risk to the country's national security, or simple criminals. Basically, the FBI wants to monitor the entire US population on social networks to more easily discover people who can become terrorists, or can commit bloody attacks without being affiliated with any terrorist organization or not.
FBI. WORRYING announcement made by the American Agency
FBI. The agency would like to collect information such as emails, usernames, or even IPs and phone numbers of people who should be under its constant monitoring. The FBI would also like to monitor the location of the respective persons, to have a history of the locations visited, to see what words they use in Internet searches, and many other information that normally should not reach them.

FBI. Everything is hidden under the "umbrella" of US national security, the Americans using this pretext to do almost anything that crosses their mind, although we are not always talking about perfectly legal things. The FBI has a mandate by law to protect US citizens from any kind of danger that may exist to them, but sometimes it has rather dubious ways to fulfill its mission.
