Android. IMPORTANT WARNING from the Romanian Authorities

Android. Google's operating system is the reason why the Romanian authorities have issued a very important warning that all users should be aware of. More precisely, the authorities from CERT-RO announced the fact that 1300 Android applications have code that allows them to collect user data without them knowing, or having ever given permission for them to access that information.

Android. The researchers of an institute in California are the ones who discovered this attack made against the users of the operating system, and of course everything is based on the very big security problems in it. More than 88.000 applications from the Google Play Store were analyzed by researchers, and of these, 1325 were discovered to have problems with respecting the privacy of Android users' data, but this is no longer something new.

Android. Through the technique used, the hackers could see information about the pictures in the phones, details about the Wi-Fi connections, identification information of the phones, plus information about geolocation. Everything is possible because Android has a very bad method of storing data in external storage media, the applications that have access to them can see the data saved by other applications, without too many restrictions, unfortunately.

Android. Apart from the more than 1300 problematic applications, the researchers also discovered 13 other applications, with 17 million downloads, that recorded data about phones and phone calls made by users. Unfortunately, lately I have seen a lot of applications for the Android operating system that had similar problems, but that had a very large number of downloads, some with malware having hundreds of millions of downloads.

Android. If you use a phone with this operating system, you must be extremely careful, because nothing you have in it is completely safe.
