Huawei MATE X could be launched with a smaller battery, and this could also substantially reduce its weight, although the changes could not please many fans. Basically, the battery of Huawei's first foldable phone would be 4400 mAh, instead of 4500 mAh, and this will also reduce its weight by 8 grams. The difference of 100 mAh between the initial specifications of the battery and those of now will most likely not have any negative effect on the autonomy of the Huawei MATE X, at least theoretically.
The interesting part is that Huawei MATE X would be available in several configurations regarding the amount of RAM memory and storage space, so it could be even cheaper. Configurations with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space are announced, compared to 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage space, so the initial price should be lower.
Finally, it is very possible that the Huawei MATE X will be launched in August, not in September, as was initially thought, as it is already licensed by the Chinese government for distribution.
