Planet Mars. The AMAZING Role of Wine in the Life of Astronauts

Planet Mars. An amazing discovery shows what an incredible role wine will have in the lives of astronauts during the journey, but also after they land.

Planet Mars Come Astronauts

Planet Mars. Whether you believe it or not, wine could play an extremely important role in the lives of astronauts who will arrive on the celestial body in the coming years, researchers discovering the effect only now. More precisely, one of the ingredients in red wine can help astronauts maintain their muscle mass and strength during the long journey to the planet Mars, but also after they get there, this being an extremely important element.

Planet Mars. The ingredient is called resveratrol, and it is found both in the skins of grapes, as well as in red wine itself, or in currants, and it could be the key for the astronauts who arrive on the planet Mars to have good muscle tone. Of course, it is necessary for astronauts to do constant physical exercises both on the way to the planet Mars and after they get there, but red wine drunk constantly, in moderate quantities, can help them additionally.

Planet Mars. The AMAZING Role of Wine in the Life of Astronauts

Planet Mars. The discovery was made by analyzing some laboratory mice, without having done any experiments on humans so far, but we are talking about something extremely important for all of humanity. If red wine can help astronauts maintain their muscle tone in outer space, and on the planet Mars, then on Earth it should have the same effect, so it could be recommended by doctors including for this.

"We placed the rats either in normal gravity or suspended so that they were only at 40% of normal gravity, the equivalent of Mars gravity. Half of each group received purified trans-resveratrol [in doses of] 150 mg/kg/day every day during the experiment. We showed that resveratrol did not affect body weight, food intake or girth. However, treated animals maintained both forepaw and hindpaw grip strength at the level of controls, unlike animals not brought to the same partial ground weight. We also showed that RSV increased myofiber size and preserved muscle architecture by decreasing the myofiber type switch."

Planet Mars. There is of course the risk of excess on the part of the astronauts when it comes to consuming alcoholic beverages, so the tests will most likely be done very carefully so that no problems arise. Even so, the possibility of red wine helping people to reach the planet Mars more safely is a very interesting one, and it could be the basis of other discoveries at least as important regarding outer space.

Planet Mars. Having said that, it remains to be seen if other studies will come to a similar conclusion, but based on what we see now, it seems that everything is coming together for the first trip to the planet.
