RCS & RDS. MAJOR MODIFICATION in Subscriptions from Romania

RCS & RDS. The telecommunications group owned by Digi has announced a very important change for Romanian customers' subscriptions, and we are talking about a change that will affect everyone. More precisely, yesterday those from RCS & RDS announced that all Digi Mobil customers who want to use the 5G network will have an increase in the available traffic, from 50 GB at the moment, to 80 GB after switching to the new network.

RCS & RDS. Apart from this change, Digi Mobil now also has a new option available to buy more mobile internet traffic, more precisely 30 GB at the price of only 2 euros, plus VAT, per month. The changes do not stop here, and this is because starting yesterday all RCS & RDS customers who use Digi Mobil services have a substantial change for the internet speeds offered after exceeding the traffic included in the subscription.

RCS & RDS. MAJOR MODIFICATION in Subscriptions from Romania

RCS & RDS. After exceeding the mobile internet traffic from subscriptions, all Digi Mobil customers will benefit from speeds of 256 Kbps, instead of 128 Kbps, for download, which represents a substantial change. The upload speeds are also doubled, more precisely RCS & RDS increasing the speed from 128 Kbps to 64 Kbps, and at such low speeds, any kind of increase of this kind matters a lot for customers.

"Furthermore, once the threshold for data traffic is reached, subscribers will be able to continue to access mobile data at higher download and upload speeds than the current ones (up to 256 Kbps and 128 Kbps, respectively), regardless of the network - 3G, 4G or 5G – or subscription type; Also, after this threshold, the download speed will change monthly up to 256 Kbps (instead of 128 Kbps) and the upload speed up to 128 Kbps (instead of 64 Kbps), regardless of the traffic package and the technology in which was accomplished."

RCS & RDS. The speeds themselves are extremely low, but they are applied after consuming the 80 GB of traffic from the subscriptions, so extraordinarily few people will have to surf the Internet so slowly. However, those who will do it will benefit from double the speed for accessing websites, and those who have used telephone connections in the past, via modem, to surf the Internet know very well how low the speeds are.

RCS & RDS. Having said that, the news is great for Romania, and all customers are enjoying this major improvement, so the operator must be praised for the implemented change.
