The Samsung GALAXY Fold goes through an extreme folding test again and shows us that Samsung cannot fulfill its promises regarding the durability of its phone.

Samsung GALAXY Fold it was passed by the Americans through an extremely interesting test that showed us how much the phone's hinge can withstand when it comes to constant folding, and the result is interesting. Those from Samsung announced that they have tested the Samsung GALAXY Fold, and that the phone can be folded 200.000 times before it breaks, but the tests carried out so far have shown that its claims are completely false.

The Samsung GALAXY Fold was put through a folding test the other day that destroyed its hinge after about 20.000 folds, 10 times less than Samsung promises, and 6 times less than what it sees now. In the test above you can see a Samsung GALAXY Fold that is folded 120.000 times before having the screen destroyed to the point where it needs to be replaced in order to be used by the user normally.

In a previous test, the Samsung GALAXY Fold had a group of pixels destroyed after only 20.000 folds, and at 40.000 folds the screen refused to work, but after a night's break it returned to normal. After 120.000 folds, the hinge began to have the first functional problems, and beyond that point the test was no longer carried out because it no longer had any purpose, its normal use being impossible.

The Samsung GALAXY Fold holds up much better in this test, with no problems with the screen up to 120.000 folds, which is very good news, because it will be able to be used for about 2 years without problems. Samsung has estimated that people will fold their phones 80/200 times a day, so the Samsung GALAXY Fold can have up to 100.000/140.000 folds in 2 years of use, and in these conditions it should last without problems.

The Samsung GALAXY Fold is an expensive phone, it costs 2000 dollars, and although in tests the hinge holds up, the screen must be protected very well because it is fragile and difficult to replace.
