Orange has ALL THE POWER, a BIG ADVANTAGE in Telekom Sales

Orange has all the power, and a very big advantage in selling Telekom to it and those from RCS & RDS, that's how complicated the situation has become now.

Orange power advantage telekom sale

Orange he has all the power, which is a great advantage, when it comes to the sale of Telekom's mobile division to those from RCS & RDS, and that could make the situation much too complicated. I told you yesterday that if Orange completes the purchase of the fixed division of Telekom before RSC & RDS buys the mobile division, then it will be obliged to the latter transaction, because it will become a shareholder in the mobile division.

Orange would share with the Romanian state the 30% package of the shares of the mobile division, which is now owned by the fixed division, this greatly complicating the negotiations carried out by the operators. Since Orange will have the opportunity to decide how competition will be affected on the telecommunications market in Romania, it is easy to understand why the European Commission is going to analyze the sale of Telekom to the French.

Orange has ALL THE POWER, a BIG ADVANTAGE in Telekom Sales

Orange will certainly try to give the European Commission all the guarantees that the acquisition of Telekom's landline division will not affect the competition on the telecommunications market in Romania. Despite this, the analysis that will be done by the European Commission will prolong the completion of the transaction between Orange and Telekom, but it can give those from RCS & RDS enough time to complete the negotiations they have.

Orange would not have had any discussion with RCS & RDS about buying the fixed division of Telekom, or at least it is not publicly known, but if it does, then we will definitely find out information about that as well. For now, only those from Telekom have discussed with the representatives of RCS & RDS, whom they consider a difficult negotiating partner, and it is likely that Orange will reach a similar conclusion if it talks with them.

Orange went through a long negotiation process to buy Telekom, and now it must first wait for the Romanian Government, and then for the European Commission to carry out its plans.
