RCS & RDS surprises with an incredible decision made for Romanian clients, something that no one expected to see out of the blue, but everything was discovered by some clients who are very attentive to the services they receive. More precisely, those from RCS & RDS have started to activate the 2G mobile phone infrastructure in certain areas of the country, and this is a surprise because the network was built exclusively as a 3G network by the telecommunications group.

RCS & RDS has also started activating 2G stations in certain areas of the country, some of the customers saying that they can already make phone calls, but of course you have to have a 2G compatible phone to do that. Those from RCS & RDS offered their customers 3G and 4G phones, or only 3G, so they will not be able to benefit from this 2G network, although its purpose is to extend coverage in areas where it was bad or non-existent.

RCS & RDS is currently implementing both 5G and 2G stations, and although it seems to be regressing, in reality customers will benefit from much better services thanks to this completely unexpected change. You can see in the image above that there is a Digi Mobil 2G network in some areas that customers can access, and those from RCS & RDS will more than likely extend everything to other areas, although for now it is not clear how where.

RCS & RDS wants to buy the mobile infrastructure of Telekom, and if it completes this procedure, then it will have a vast 2G network for customers in Romania, which will radically improve the experience it offers. Of course, in the 2G network you can make phone calls, and on the Internet side you can't do anything because the speeds are terrible, but in this case, RCS & RDS is interested in expanding GSM coverage.

RCS & RDS said absolutely nothing about this creation and expansion of the 5G network, but as it will be available in more and more areas, we will learn more and more information about it.
