More precisely, the US authorities want to expand the list of restrictions regarding Huawei, and to impose on local companies that receive money from the government not to buy products from the Chinese, and here we also include those from ZTE.
Huawei has been the target of similar measures since last year, when the US government banned the purchase of equipment from the Chinese for all its institutions, including those that have collaboration contracts with them. Now the list has been extended to other US companies that receive money from the federal government, so we are talking about a new blow designed to further reduce the ability of the Chinese to do business in the US>

Huawei also responded to this new challenge from the American government, saying that in the several decades of activity it has never had a major security incident. Moreover, the company claims that this new measure dictated against Huawei is intended to affect the small mobile operators in the US, who do not have as much money as the big ones and cannot buy more expensive GSM equipment.
Huawei says that this decision will further reduce the expansion of GSM coverage, but also of high-speed networks in rural areas of the US, which will affect the economy of those regions. Despite the fact that Huawei is right, Donald Trump has other plans, he wants to completely eliminate the Chinese company from the US, and based on what he has done so far, he is close to achieving his goal.
However, Huawei remains with China, a market on which it is dependent to a very large extent, and which brings it increasing sales on the smartphone market.
