iPhone 12 in 2020, it will have implemented support for 5G technology in all three models that will be put on sale by Apple, and this is something quite surprising because Americans are usually a bit stingy. However, in 2020 the iPhone 12 series will reach customers with 5G in all three models, and this means that Apple will also modify the structure of the antennas that will be used for the phone case when connecting to 5G networks.
The iPhone 12 would have integrated support for 5G networks configured on the basis of mmWave technologies and with frequencies lower than 6 GHz, so they would be used anywhere in the world thanks to the Qualcomm modems in them. Thanks to the implementation of support for 5G networks, the iPhone 12 would generate between 15% and 20% of the total sales of iPhone phones in the last part of 2020, i.e. the end of September and October - December.

iPhone 12 will have the LCP FPC technology implemented for antennas so that there is support for the mmWave standard of 5G, and no less than three antennas of this kind will be used, compared to only one in the current models. The LCP antennas were integrated in the iPhone X for the first time, but they did not reach the iPhone XR or iPhone 11, but all three models of the iPhone 12 will have them, and there will be 3 times more because they offer extremely high performance good on 5G.
“We expect the shipment allocation of iPhone models supporting 5G mmWave to represent 15-20% of the total shipments of new 2H20 iPhone models. This will greatly benefit from the use of FPC LCP, given that the 5G mmWave iPhone uses three FPC LCP units (compared to the LPC FPC unit of other iPhone models).”
Apple is obliged to use new technologies for the GSM antennas of the iPhone 12 so that they work with both 5G and 4G, 3G, 2G networks, and creating such a complex phone is very difficult. Those from Huawei and Samsung already know this, and sell extremely expensive 5G phones, but for the iPhone 12 only a possible marginal price increase is expected, if the rumors announcing the $400 increase are not true.
The entire series of iPhone 12 phones will be announced in the fall of next year, most likely somewhere around September, and sales will start then, and of course we should have active 5G networks including in Romania.
