Digi Mobil's PROBLEMS ARE GROWING, Plans for Romanian Customers are COMPLICATED

Digi Mobil has suffered a coup that seriously endangers its plans for Romania, here is the situation the telecom operator is facing.

Digi Mobil's PROBLEMS ARE GROWING Romanian Customers' Plans are entangled

Digi Mobil has been preparing for some time to give an important blow to the telecommunications market in Romania, but it seems that all the plans made by RCS & RDS are going to collapse very quickly, unfortunately. More precisely, despite all the negotiations that RCS & RDS conducted with Telekom to buy the group's mobile infrastructure for Digi Mobil, in the end they would not take anything from them because the sale would be done in total different.

Digi Mobil is competing now not only with a series of foreign investment groups that want to buy the entire Telekom company in Romania, but also with the German plans to merge with Orange, which is a big surprise. Yesterday I told you that there are discussions regarding a merger between Orange and Telekom, and this is where Digi Mobil loses the most, because it cannot buy the infrastructure it needs very much at the moment in Romania.

Digi Mobil's PROBLEMS ARE GROWING, Plans for Romanian Customers are COMPLICATED

Digi Mobil has also prepared a kind of backup plan, and this is because it has already started building a 2G infrastructure in Romania to improve its services, but the construction will take years, so the utility will be reduced. If it had bought the mobile infrastructure of Telekom, Digi Mobil would have instantly had access to a very extensive infrastructure that is superior to the one it has at the moment, and which would have helped it a lot.

Digi Mobil now remains to fight with foreign investment groups if the merger between Telekom and Orange does not take place, but this means that it could be forced to take over the customers it did not want to take until now. This was a very big problem in the negotiations carried out by RCS & RDS and Telekom, and in the end Digi Mobil and its customers lose the most if things do not go in the direction desired by the Romanian telecommunications group.

Digi Mobil will remain a strong operator and without the mobile infrastructure of those from Telekom, it will still steal many customers through porting, and it remains to be seen what will happen to its infrastructure.
