The sale of Telekom is of MAJOR IMPORTANCE for Romania

Telekom has the sale of major importance for Romania, this is how serious is the decision that must be taken by the Romanian Government regarding the company.

Telekom sale IMPORTANT Romania

Telekom will sell its mobile services division in Romania, that is as clear as possible, because a merger with Orange is quite improbable, considering the different values of the two companies, and many other financial calculations. In this situation, the Romanian Government must analyze very carefully the transaction that is going to take place for the transfer of the operator to another entity, and this is because we are talking about national security.

Telekom has an infrastructure that extends throughout the country, so it is very possible that the subject of its sale will end up being discussed in CSAT since we are talking about services used by millions of Romanians. The Telekom infrastructure is of great strategic importance because it will give any owner the ability to control what happens with telecommunications in various regions of Romania, perhaps even in important situations.

The sale of Telekom is of MAJOR IMPORTANCE for Romania

Telekom was once at the center of rumors suggesting a possible sale to a Russian investment group, which raised a lot of question marks about how the company would be run. It is known that few people would like Russia to have control over such an important operator as Telekom, and the Romanian Government will have to make a decision after a very serious analysis of the actual situation.

Of course, Telekom also has interest shown by some European investment groups, here the interest is even more serious, and this could block the sale to those from Orange, or RCS & RDS, because we are talking about a complete acquisition. The plans of those from Telekom are to sell their company in its entirety as quickly and easily as possible, and a sale to a consortium of investment groups would be simpler for them, in the end.

Telekom will have to be sold to entities that do not wish Romania harm, but in the end it is the Government that will decide who will go to all the infrastructure that the operator has created in our country until now.
