According to those from ANCOM, Orange has 39% of active mobile internet connections in Romania at the moment, i.e. somewhere around 7.64 million of the 19.6 million active in Romania, which is impressive.
Orange has been repeatedly certified as having the best 4G internet network in Romania, and what the people from ANCOM tell us confirms that the world really uses the mobile internet that the operator offers now. With such a large number of mobile connections in Romania, those from Orange have a market share that is 15 percentage points higher than that of Vodafone, the first competitor, and 2 times higher than that of Telekom.
Orange has the most customers who use mobile internet in Romania
Orange also has one of the most extensive 4G networks in Romania at the moment, and in the 4G tests done through Speedtest, or other platforms, it occupies and cedes first place to Vodafone in various quarters of the year. Orange has invested a lot in making its 4G network extremely good for the mobile internet desired by customers, and what we see now from ANCOM is a confirmation that the efforts were not in vain.
Orange manages to offer customers in its network not only enough mobile internet to use to browse the internet, but also good enough speeds to enjoy this. With real 4G speeds of minimum 50 Mbps and maximum 220 Mbps outside Bucharest, Orange offers exactly what people expect from a mobile network, and we see that the difference compared to the competition is very big.
Orange most likely has the highest internet traffic among all mobile operators in Romania, considering the number of connections, and the consumption is continuously increasing, with 5G going to accelerate this.
