Apple offers Free Genetic Tests to Cupertino Employees

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), surprises the whole world with a decision to offer its employees in Cupertino the opportunity to do free genetic testing. Everything is part of a pilot project with a network of clinics called Color Genomics, also with them opening a series of clinics for employees called "AC Wellness".

Apple wants to help its employees discover the possible health problems they might have throughout their lives, genetic tests being helpful. These are not cheap, and those at Apple are running a pilot program at the moment to see how appropriate it would be to expand the program for all employees.

Apple also prepares this program as a benefit for the employees it recruits, and this is because some people are more easily convinced with such bonuses. Apple is slowly transforming from a company focused exclusively on technology into a corporation involved in many other fields of activity.

“Apple employees in Silicon Valley can now get free genetic testing for disease at their on-site health clinics thanks to a pilot partnership with Color Genomics. Apple, which recently established dedicated health clinics known as 'AC Wellness' for employees and dependents near its headquarters, has been working with Color for several months."

Apple has been working for some time on other projects related to medicine, in general to prepare the launch of other products, and what it is doing here could be related to that.
