iPhone and Samsung phones launched in recent years by the two major phone manufacturers have been decently tested by the Americans. Everything was done after a series of accusations were launched against the two companies, some saying that the iPhone and Samsung phones emit radiation at a higher level than the one officially declared by the manufacturers.

Radiation? Which radiations?

The FCC tested the iPhone 7, iPhone X, iPhone XS, Samsung GALAXY S9, Samsung GALAXY J3, plus various models of phones from Motorola and Vivo, but they did not find anything wrong with them. You can see in the image below what were the results obtained for the tests done on iPhone and Samsung phones by the American authorities, and they are interesting.

The authorities bought phones directly from manufacturers to do the tests, so they did not use units received from them for verification, but models that are now sold to customers. In the case of all the phone models tested by the authorities, including those from third-party manufacturers, the radiation limit imposed by the authorities for phones was not exceeded.

“All cellular phones tested by the FCC laboratory, both consumer-supplied and FCC-purchased samples, produced average maximum SAR values of 1 g below the 1,6 W/kg limit specified in FCC rules. Therefore, all tested sample devices comply with the general population / uncontrolled FCC RF radiation exposure limits for maximum space-averaged SAR of 1,6 W / kg, averaged over 1 gram of tissue, as specified in 47 CFR Sn . 2.1093 (d) (2), and these tests did not produce evidence of violation of the FCC's rules regarding maximum RF exposure levels.”

The authorities deny the findings of the press

An American newspaper called The Chicago Tribune did a series of its own tests in the summer of this year and came to the conclusion that iPhone and Samsung phones emit radiation that exceeds the levels allowed by the authorities. Now the authorities say that those tests were not done under normal conditions to verify such a problem, something that was also affirmed by Apple.

The biggest problem is, however, that doubt has now settled in the minds of consumers regarding the veracity of the information that comes both from the press and from the producers. People wonder if they are being lied to either by some or by others, and no one knows what to believe about this problem, so nothing seems to be certain at the moment.
