Blackberry, one of the most famous mobile phone companies more than a decade ago, is now involved in the development of an electric motorcycle together with a company called Damon Motorcycles.
Blackberry will provide a software that aims to detect objects moving near the bike, calculating their direction and speed in order to alert motorcyclists about the appearance of a potential danger on their way.
Hypersport Pro Electric Superbike is the name of the motorcycle on which Blackberry will work together with Damon, and the system offered by the Canadian company is based on a series of sensors, cameras, and artificial intelligence.
Blackberry has basically developed a safety system for car drivers, which aims to bring more safety on the roads by anticipating possible accidents and providing alerts to avoid them.
Blackberry and Damon are collaborating to produce this electric motorcycle in a limited series, it will be demonstrated at CES 2020 so that people can get an idea of what they will get.
