The Romanian Parliament voted to apply a fine between 500 LEI - 1500 LEI, or 50 - 100 hours of work for the benefit of the community for:

  • committing obscene acts, acts or gestures in public, uttering insults, insulting or vulgar expressions, threats of acts of violence against persons or their property, likely to disturb public order and peace or cause indignation of citizens or harm dignity and honor them or public institutions;
  • disturbing, without right, the peace of the inhabitants by making noise with any device or object or by shouting or shouting;

The Romanian Parliament also voted to apply a fine between 2000 LEI - 3000 LEI, or 70 - 120 hours of work for the benefit of the community for:

  • disturbing the peace of tenants between the hours of 22,00-8,00 and 13,00-14,00 by any person by making noise, noise or by using any device, object or musical instrument at high intensity in the premises or in the premises of legal entities , in the homes of natural persons or in any other place in buildings intended for housing or located in their immediate vicinity;

In the end, the Romanian Parliament decided that the fines should be between 3000 and 6000 LEI, or 100-150 hours for the benefit of the community for:

  • the organization of private parties and the use of musical equipment at an intensity likely to disturb the peace of the inhabitants, in tents, other facilities or in uncovered space, located in the perimeter close to residential or social buildings, in the urban environment;

These new contravention fines will be applied starting from January 26, so it would be good to properly adjust the electronic devices you use to listen to music, watch TV, watch movies, etc.
