Orange has some of its customers hit by a huge problem that didn't seem possible a few months ago, but here the situations change without warning, and now hundreds of thousands of customers are affected by what is happening. We are talking about the situation of the scandal between Telekom and Discovery, which left hundreds of thousands of Orange customers without the possibility to watch Eurosport together with the rest of the programs that the group currently distributes.
Orange is not to blame in this situation, and this is because the supply was made thanks to the agreement that Telekom had with Discovery, so when that agreement ended, the distribution went too. Orange uses not only Telekom's infrastructure to provide television services, but apparently also the distribution agreements that the German-owned group has, and if something disappears from them, it also disappears from the French-owned group.

Orange he is probably trying to level the situation and convince the two groups to reach an agreement in order not to leave their clients without the stations from Discovery, but the situation is more complicated than it seemed. Discovery got a little upset after Telekom refused to pay for the distribution of its stations, so it decided to conclude an agreement with Vodafone to bring the stations to them, and thus Orange has even less chance of seeing the problem solved.
Orange he doesn't seem to be able to conclude a separate agreement with those from Discovery, or if he could, it will probably take some time until everything is set up for the stations to return to his schedule. In this situation, it will be very interesting to see what the customers of Orange will do if the stations from Discovery do not return, a lot of people being, apparently, very interested in watching the shows that are broadcast there.
Orange is put in a bad situation by those from Telekom, but of course solutions can always be found for situations like this, if everyone is willing to reach an agreement.
