Telekom: An Explanation for the SUDDEN INCREASE in Prices

Telekom has completely unexpectedly increased the prices for all the services it offers in Romania, here is a possible explanation for this.

Telekom explanation

Telekom took absolutely all customers by surprise with the decision of the past few days to increase the prices for all the services they currently offer in Romania, and many are still wondering what the real reason is. Well, Telekom offered some explanations for its decision that angered many customers, especially since it is the third in just one year, but most people have heard the same reasons in the past, and I don't really believe them anymore.

Telekom it still has problems with profitability, the company's management trying for years to increase the profit, even by selling some high-value real estate that it owned, and the group still owns. In the context in which Telekom wants to sell both its fixed services and mobile services division, it is possible that this price increase is based on the desire to make the company look better in the accounting documents.

Telekom: An Explanation for the SUDDEN INCREASE in Prices

Telekom will sell its fixed services division to those from Orange, and it is possible that this price increase is done to increase the receipts before the sale, maybe partially so that Orange does not do this immediately after the acquisition. Millions of Telekom customers will reach Orange in 2020, and we already know that the French group has higher prices for the vast majority of services, so it would be possible that the increase is related to the sale.

Telekom has another problem with Discovery, eliminating all of the group's television stations from January 1 because it did not reach an agreement with them regarding distribution. One of the reasons mentioned for the price increase is also related to the entertainment part, so it is possible that Telekom will cover its higher license costs by increasing the prices it charges for television services from March 1.

Telekom it seems to be a bit chaotic with so many price changes in such a short period of time, it seems that the people who do the calculations don't really know what they are calculating, and in the end the customers lose from this.
