UBER: HUGE change, what will happen from February 1

UBER will enter starting February 1, 2020 under the incidence of new very important legislative provisions, here's what will change for Bolt, Clever, Yango.

UBER law

UBER is going to impose a series of extremely important changes in Romania starting on February 1, but the same is also true for Bolt, Clever Taxi, or Yango. Some of you probably already know that last year a series of rules were adopted by law that UBER drivers, or those of other ridesharing companies, must comply with in order to continue offering transport services in Romanian cities in 2020.

UBER he warned the drivers that starting from February 1, they will have to have a series of new documents and approvals from the authorities to be able to carry out their activity legally. Of all the ridesharing platforms in Romania, three have already obtained provisional technical approval for operation from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, but it is not known which of UBER, Bolt, Clever Taxi, or Yango, is among them now.

UBER: HUGE change, what will happen from February 1

UBER it will not be able to send drivers who do not have certificates from the Romanian Road Authority, but also drivers who are not at least 21 years old and at least 2 years of driving experience on public roads. There are other provisions that apply to the cars that will be sent by UBER, or other companies, among which the fact that they will have to be marked on the outside, and special badges will have to be visible for the passengers who will travel with them in Romania .

UBER, like the rest of the ridesharing companies, tried to prepare their drivers ahead of time for these changes, but it is possible that some are not ready, and this could lead to problems in fulfilling orders. If after February 1 you will find it harder to find a car with UBER, or other services, or if the prices are higher than normal, then it is good to know that this happens because there are fewer cars than usual on the roads Romanians.

UBER, Bolt, Clever Taxi, Yango, will certainly try to have all drivers prepared for the changes that come into effect on February 1, and those who are not yet, will probably be helped to enter the law.
