NASA: 8 Recently Discovered ASTEROIDS Are Coming Close to Earth

NASA discovered in 2020 8 new asteroids that are coming at high speed towards the Earth at the moment, here is what it said about their trajectory.

NASA discovered in the last week of January no less than 8 asteroids that are heading towards Earth at high speed and will reach close to our planet in the next 7 days. The first asteroid among the 8 was discovered on January 24 by the NASA space agency, while the last one was discovered on February 1, but none of them would hit the Earth, at least according to American researchers.

NASA is obliged to issue alerts for any kind of asteroid that is heading towards the Earth and may reach the planet, but this time too it is not expected that one will hit the planet. The largest of the 8 asteroids that NASA discovered is called 2020 BQ11, it has a diameter of approximately 77 meters, so it could cause great damage if it hit the Earth, but not at a continental level.

NASA says that these 8 asteroids would pass by the Earth in the next 8 days, and the largest of them will reach our planet during today's day. This is one of the fairly common groups of asteroids that NASA discovers in the universe that surrounds us, so not many people were surprised by what the agency had to say this time, a lot of rocks routinely pass by next to Earth.

"Nasa has discovered eight asteroids that are all headed for close proximity to our beautiful blue planet. The first was spotted on January 24 and the last on February 1. For the next seven days, they must all make "Earth approaches." None of the space rocks are big enough to wipe out human civilization, but they would still do some damage if they hit us.”

NASA it is still obliged to issue alerts for asteroids because some of them may have their trajectory modified by the interaction with other rocks in the universe, planets, or stars, so they could reach closer to Earth. Even if no asteroid that could cause huge damage is expected to come close to the Earth in the coming years, those from NASA are trying to keep everyone informed about everything that reaches the planet.

NASA it also does not issue alerts for small asteroids, very many in number, which enter the atmosphere and are completely disintegrated before hitting the surface, so there are many that we still do not know.
