RCS & RDS started 2020 with a bang, the telecommunications group from Romania making a disclosure in February that will surely please extremely many of the clients who use its services in Romania. On February 4, RCS & RDS updated the coverage maps for the 2G network they created in 2019 in Romania, and expanded it at a surprisingly fast pace, now having other fairly large areas from the country that are covered by it.
RCS & RDS announced before Christmas an updated map with 2G coverage, and then Bucharest became visible on the Map with coverage, together with areas from Salaj, Olt, or Prahova, but now the expansion is even greater. Those from RCS & RDS managed to cover almost all of Constanta county, and a good part of Tulcea county with their 2G network, and you can see below how much it was extended to offer the service for subscribers of telephone services furniture.

RCS & RDS seems to have extended the 2G coverage a bit more in the counties around Bucharest, but a much bigger change is the coverage in Mehedinti, Gorj and Covasna counties, which comes as a surprise. There, 2G coverage was extended the most in Mehedinti and Gorj, RCS & RDS having a little of Covasna county covered, but most likely the process will continue at a fast pace, as it happened in the last month and a half.
RCS & RDS has expanded the coverage in Salaj county, and a little in its surroundings, but for the first time it has coverage in Mures county, and it covers quite a few localities there. You can see on the map that the 2G network of RCS & RDS was expanded surprisingly quickly, a sign that the operator wants to finally solve one of its biggest problems, the quality of the signal inside the buildings, something that the world he complains often.
RCS & RDS it will be able to offer customers a much better signal inside buildings compared to the 3G network, which is the most extensive now, but there will be no improvements on the Internet side, on the contrary.
