Huawei has found the solution to replace YouTube in the new phones it will launch in 2020, here is what the company has prepared for the customers of the new products.

Huawei is forced to make radical decisions regarding the new phones it wants to launch worldwide, and one of them is related to the replacement of the YouTube application, which can no longer be offered. US sanctions prohibit Huawei from integrating the Google Play Store into its phones, but from preloading any other applications from American companies, including YouTube, used by over 1.5 billion people every month.

Huawei he knows that people want to be able to use YouTube, so he found an alternative solution for the video sharing platform created by Google, and it would be called Huawei Video. At the moment there is an application called Huawei Video, it allows the playback of video clips from phones, and being interconnected with some video streaming platforms in Europe, so it will be interesting to see how it will be able to replace YouTube.

Huawei it will not be able to include the YouTube application in its app store called AppGallery, so this alternative solution should be transformed from what it is now into a social network for videos. Huawei will not be able to prohibit the installation of the YouTube application from third-party stores that do not belong to it, but here users risk their phone data, because applications from unofficial stores, from unknown companies, can be full of viruses.

"The specific list of software varies from one region to another and corresponds to the top 70 Google Play. In addition, some of the applications that Huawei will try to replace with its counterparts - for example, in March, Huawei Video will be launched as a competitor to YouTube."

Huawei found an alternative for Google Maps thanks to a partnership with TomTom, for Gmail it already offers an alternative, for Google Chrome the same, but for YouTube an alternative is hard to find. It will be very interesting to see how this platform could work that will replace YouTube on the new phones from Huawei that will be launched outside of China, but also how many people will find it useful when it is officially available.

Huawei will include this YouTube replacement platform in the Huawei P40 Pro, which would be presented next month, so there is still time to prepare it for official distribution.
