Microsoft Launches an Antivirus for iPhone and Android

Microsoft Antivirus iPhone Android

Microsoft launches an antivirus for iPhone and Android phones, the American company bringing Windows Defender to mobile platforms as well, although iOS does not need such a thing, and the application would not do anything that an antivirus would do.

Microsoft has not yet revealed what it intends to offer in its antivirus application, but on Android it could scan applications to check if they have any known malware/adware, etc. in them, but since iOS does not have such a problem, it it would be useless.

Microsoft will launch Windows Defender including for macOS, so it was expected that the antivirus application will also reach iPhone and Android, in the second platform applications of this kind are extremely useful for protecting users.

Microsoft you won't be able to do much on the iPhone since in iOS the applications are restricted in what they can do, and they can't scan the files from other applications in the phones, or those of the operating system, but anyway in iOS there is no need for an antivirus.

"Microsoft plans to bring Defender antivirus software to Android and iOS later this year. The software giant develops apps for mobile operating systems that are designed to provide antivirus prevention and a "complete command line experience." Microsoft isn't revealing exactly what the apps will do yet, but the company plans to preview them at the RSA conference next week."

Microsoft it can provide alerts for phishing attacks in iOS, if it had a browser to allow surfing the Internet, but in Safari it would not be able to display alerts, so the antivirus will be very useful on Android, but the version for iOS is useless.
