Milky Way: NASA Releases an AMAZING Image of the Galaxy

The Milky Way has a stunning image published by NASA, showing us something that few people have been able to see until now.

Milky way has published a stunning image by those from NASA, the American space agency trying to show the whole world again a visualization from a different perspective of the galaxy we are part of. We are talking about an image that was captured in Chile in 2019 by a photographer, and the American space agency chose to present it as the astronomical image of the day, all in order not to let us forget what a great cosmic body we are part of.

Milky way appears arched in this image, and it was recently explained to us why it looks the way it does, a collision with a nearby dwarf galaxy creating a ripple for our galaxy. Leaving this aside, those from NASA also explain what the long wave of light that seems to connect the Milky Way to Earth means, representing one of the impressive elements that are visible in this image published by the Americans.

Milky way it would have presented there a zodiacal light, that is, a stream of dust that orbits the sun inside our solar system, it being the easiest to observe just before sunrise. Some researchers have chosen to call it a false sunrise or a false sunset, and until now the source of this stream of dust, related to the zodiac, has not been discovered, but it is assumed that it is based on the result of the collision between asteroids , or the remains of a comet's tail.

"What is the band of light that connects the earth to the Milky Way? Zodiacal light – a stream of dust orbiting the Sun in the inner Solar System. It is most easily seen just before sunrise, where it has been called a false dawn, or just after sunset. The origin of zodiac dust remains a subject of research, but it is thought to result from asteroid collisions and comet tails.”

Milky way it has its central area shown in the image above, and the large Magellanic cloud can be seen in the upper arc, while a satellite galaxy to ours is visible in the far left. In order to record this image with the Milky Way, 30 images were combined by the photographer who made it, and this gave us an opportunity to see a part of what only some researchers have the opportunity to follow.

Milky way it even recently had a series of very important discoveries revealed, and we talked to you about them, both NASA and various other researchers, continuing to explore it with intensity.
