UPDATED: The 29th case of infection was confirmed in Romania by the authorities, a 47-year-old woman from Bucharest tested positive for the new virus.

"4 more cases of illness with the new coronavirus were confirmed this evening. The total number at the national level reached 29 cases. It is about a 57-year-old man who returned yesterday from Italy and was in quarantine in Arad. Also, a 26-year-old woman from Hunedoara and a 37-year-old man who is hospitalized in the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Reșita, are contacts of a positive person.

Coronavirus has 3 new confirmed cases in Romania separately from those 8 announced in the afternoon in Bucharest, so we are talking about 11 more people confirmed today as being infected by the new virus, the total now reaching 28 cases, of which 5 are cured.

The coronavirus is starting to spread very quickly, the number of cases increasing by 11 in just one day, this being the biggest increase so far, which of course was expected by the country's authorities.

The three people were already in quarantine in Arad county after they arrived at the border from areas in Italy with more infections confirmed by the authorities, the three people being from Timis, Caras-Severin and Hunedoara, adding to the 8 from Bucharest.

Based on the existing information, at 16:00 from the Ministry of Health, 107 people were in quarantine, but the number will increase as more and more Romanians return from Italy, but Spain also starts to have more and more cases of Confirmed coronaviruses.
