Government of Romania: Recommendations regarding Information about COVID-19

Romanian government covid-19 information

The Romanian government continues its campaign of recommendations for Romanians who want to be as well informed as possible about the new Coronavirus, COVID-19, so it comes with a new series of advice for all those who have questions.

The Romanian government brings back into discussion how to use that TelVerde, where experts from the Ministry of Health answer your questions, but also in which situations you should call the 112 emergency service to ask for information about the Coronavirus.

  1. Call your family doctor first if you have a fever or cough and have traveled to countries where cases of coronavirus have been registered or have come into contact with people infected with the new coronavirus.
  2. Call 112 only in cases of emergency, if you have not been able to contact your family doctor or if your health condition has suddenly worsened.
  3. Tell the family doctor or the 112 dispatcher the reason for your suspicion of infection with the new coronavirus.
  4. Find out more about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) from TelVerde 0800 800 358. This is an information number, NOT an emergency number!
  5. TelVerde is operationalized at the level of the National Institute of Public Health under the Ministry of Health for citizens who want information related to the prevention of infection with the COVID-19 (coronavirus) virus.
