Together with the Government inaugurated today, we will dedicate all our energies, one hundred percent, to effectively manage this crisis generated by the new coronavirus. It is very important that the measures that will be taken are taken in time. In order to make this fight possible with all the instruments provided by law, I have decided to declare a state of emergency at the beginning of next week. This state of emergency will make it possible to allocate important new resources to manage the crisis. In this way, the Government will have the opportunity to allocate more money to the health sector, more money for medicines and absolutely necessary medical equipment. This situation will allow purchases to be made in a very short time, with simplified procedures, thus putting the Government has all the tools necessary to manage the crisis generated by the coronavirus in the most efficient way. Dear Romanians, we need you to respect the guidelines and indications of the authorities. Together, and only together, we will manage to overcome this crisis!

The coronavirus brings to Romania the decree of the state of national emergency, President Klaus Iohannis announcing just a few minutes ago that starting from Monday, March 16, this measure will be imposed in the country to fight against COVID-19.
The declaration of the state of emergency in Romania due to the Coronavirus does not come as a surprise, and this is because other EU countries have taken similar measures in the past few days in order to be able to take measures to prevent the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19.
After the establishment of the state of emergency in Romania, the Government will have the ability to allocate much more resources for the fight against the Coronavirus in a much simplified way, and of course it will be able to take measures to restrict the movement of people through the country.
The establishment of the state of emergency will also have to be adopted by the Romanian Parliament within 5 days of the signing of the decree by the President of Romania, so we will probably see next week a vote similar to today's for the investiture of the new government.
The measure is an extremely important one for Romania, and maybe it should have been taken earlier, but even so, the authorities should have a different type of action to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus in our country.
The announcement regarding the establishment of the state of emergency in Romania due to the Corona virus comes after 109 cases of infection with the new Corona virus have been registered so far.
