The coronavirus requires the establishment of a state of emergency, including in Romania, as has already happened in other countries in the European Union, all to protect citizens from infection, and to prevent a collapse of the medical system, as has already happened in some regions of Italy.
The Romanian government is currently holding a press conference in which it presents the measures it is going to impose on our country after the state of emergency is established, the communication being necessary due to the large number of rumors that have scared the world.
The President of Romania will institute a state of national emergency in the country starting tomorrow, the entry into force taking place immediately after publication in the official monitor, and television and radio stations will have to regularly announce its establishment.
Here are the measures announced today by the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Marcel Vela, they will be applied together with those that will be announced after the establishment of the state of emergency.
- Changing the definition of close contact of a person infected with the Coronavirus;
- Isolation at home for all people arriving in Romania from countries where at least 500 cases of coronavirus infection are confirmed, starting from March 15, at 21:00 p.m., regardless of how they enter the country.
- The obligation of the ITMs to check whether the obligations imposed by the Romanian Government for the shift in the work schedule are respected.
- Suspension of car fairs until March 31.
