Google issued in the last year a very large series of warnings for extremely many people, the American company trying to help them stay safe in an era where few things are left. Google issued no less than 40.000 warnings to various users who have accounts and use its online services, telling them that they were the targets of attacks organized by hackers that could have been controlled even by government agencies.
Google issued all its warnings through the threat analysis group, which was specially created to detect this kind of attacks against people in order to stop them, if possible, or to warn them. Interestingly, the number of warnings that Google sent to users is 25% lower than the one recorded in the same period last year, which is of course very good news for everyone.

Google stated that in 2020 he detected an increase in the number of phishing attacks taking place globally, and this also because the new Coronavirus proved to be a source of attacks. Google claims that many hackers from Iran and North Korea commit attacks of this kind, assuming the identity of journalists or well-known media trusts, in order to distribute false information to as many people as possible around the globe.
Google also discovered a larger number of zero-day exploits in various operating systems, these being vulnerabilities that are not known to the software manufacturer. Google has discovered many attacks from North Korea targeting citizens there, and in some cases it has also managed to find rare hackers using multiple zero-day vulnerabilities in a single attack, which is not exactly common in the world IT.
Google will continue to monitor the internet to discover any kind of similar attacks made against hackers, so it remains to be seen what exactly they will discover.
