RCS & RDS: HUGE SURPRISE, what does it do in the Coronavirus Pandemic

RCS & RDS surprises in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic, this is what the telecommunications group has decided to do for its customers from all over Romania now.

RCS & RDS pandemic

RCS & RDS is, just like the other big companies in Romania, caught in the fight with the new Coronavirus, trying to protect both its employees and the customers who step on the thresholds of its stores from all over the country. Although it is very difficult to keep everyone safe, the people at RCS & RDS struggle with it every day, but more than that, they continue to make improvements for the coverage they offer for telecommunication networks, that's what big surprise.

RCS & RDS just last week, it updated the information regarding the maps with the coverage of its 2G, 3G, 4G mobile networks, but not the 5G one, which has remained unchanged for about a month. RCS & RDS seems to continue to invest in expanding coverage for networks based on classic technologies, but in the case of 5G technology, the operator seems to have reduced investments, or at least this is the impression generated by the lack of updates for the map.

RCS & RDS: HUGE SURPRISE, what does it do in the Coronavirus Pandemic

RCS & RDS has been investing massively for several months in the 2G network it has in Romania, which aims to solve the problems with the weak signal, at least inside the buildings, in many areas of the country. RCS & RDS has focused a lot on 2G stations in the south-east and north-west of Romania, having very good coverage, together with the south-central area of the country, so that in those areas customers should have no problems making phone calls now.

RCS & RDS it is more difficult to discover the improvements for the 3G and 4G networks, since they had pretty good coverage all over the country anyway, but in the case of the 2G one, the improvements are easy to see. It is still not clear why such large investments are no longer being made for the 5G network by those from RCS & RDS, but probably the lack of a clear strategy from the Government, and the postponement of the auction for frequencies, prevents larger investments.

RCS & RDS does not let the Coronavirus pandemic stop it in its campaign to offer Romanians much better telecommunications services, so it will more than likely continue to expand coverage.
