BRD Romania says that it is possible to request the postponement of installments, interest, commissions for 1-9 months until December 31, 2020 at the latest, but there are a series of provisions that the bank lists for customers who want to do this.

"We know that you are interested in the new ordinance GEO 37 / 2020. From March 31, 2020, we are accepting requests to postpone the payment of installments for a period of up to 9 months, according to the new GEO. If you meet the conditions below, you can request the postponement of installments representing capital, interest and commissions for 1-9 months, but no longer than December 31, 2020: If your or your family's income has decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic and if not you register arrears older than March 16, 2020 (the date of the establishment of the state of emergency) or you have paid the respective arrears in the meantime."

BRD Romania explains on its website how the rates are going to change after the deferment period for which customers can opt for passes, so you must analyze the information provided there very carefully. BRD Romania also says that people who use that form to request the postponement of installment payments should be patient in order to be contacted by a representative of the bank by email or phone, and not to make the request several times because this does not will send the process.
