The total number of cases of infection with the new Coronavirus in Romania reached 5990 people who were tested positive for the virus today, the number still increasing as we head towards that peak that the Ministry of Health has been talking about for some time.
The good part is that the number of cures continues to increase, so far 758 people have been declared cured of the new Coronavirus, the percentage remaining above 10%, which is extremely good news for our country in the future.
523 new cases of infection were reported from yesterday until today, this being a record of new cases reported in Romania, but of course this is to be expected since the number of samples processed daily has now reached approximately 4000.
The number of people hospitalized in intensive care also increased, reaching for the first time 208 people hospitalized in this situation, the number of cures increasing very slightly compared to yesterday, but it still remains at over 10% of the total number of infections.

By the competent structures of the MAI, 366 criminal files have been drawn up, up to now, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 para. 1 Criminal Code.
The police and gendarmes detected, in the last 24 hours, 8.992 people who did not comply with the traffic restriction measure. Contraventional sanctions were applied to these persons, amounting to 19.423.449 lei.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other countries, according to the information obtained by diplomatic missions and consular offices of Romania abroad, 694 Romanian citizens are still confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 420 in Italy, 196 in Spain, 20 in France, 9 in Germany, 37 in the UK, 2 in Namibia, 2 in the USA, 2 in Austria, 2 in Belgium and one each in Argentina, Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until this moment, 43 Romanian citizens abroad, 13 in Italy, 9 in France, 11 in Great Britain, 6 in Spain, 2 in Germany, one in Belgium and one in Sweden, they died.
