Facebook has a long list of topics for which it will check the materials published on its platform to notify users if they liked, shared, or commented on an article that was determined to be 100% fake, and what it does is important company.
Facebook has dozens of organizations that verify a lot of material published within its platform, and when a certain material is classified as fake, it will no longer be displayed for people, and it will have a special mark that will alert people that it is not true.
Facebook it will also display notifications for people to share the World Health Organization website so that their friends can find out 100% real information about the Coronavirus pandemic instead of the fake information shared by some.
“We will begin showing messages in the News Feed to people who liked, reacted to or commented on harmful misinformation about COVID-19 that we have since removed. These messages will connect people to the COVID-19 myths, debunked by the WHO, including those we have removed from our platform to lead to imminent physical harm.”
Facebook takes these measures because too much false information is distributed on its platform, and because people must be informed correctly, even if this does not always happen, and the new changes will be visible in the coming weeks.
