Raed Arafat: warning regarding new restrictions due to the Coronavirus

Raed Arafat warning of coronavirus restrictions

Raed Arafat comes today with a very important warning for all Romanians who relaxed during this period, refusing to stay at home, to wear a mask, everything as if the Coronavirus has passed, and the infection does not last for at least a month in hospital and isolation, even as asymptomatic, if you are tested.

Raed Arafat says that it is possible that new restrictions will be imposed if all this relaxation will lead to an increase in the number of cases, which is perfectly possible because all walks without a mask, in large groups, increase the risk of infection.

Raed Arafat makes this warning because in the 2 weeks until May 15, when some restrictions could be lifted, everything that has been done in the last weeks can be ruined, and the sacrifice made by millions of Romanians can be canceled because of a few.

"For some it seems that the relaxation has already begun. And it has already started in a way with absolutely no limits, that is, the circulation is almost the same as before (…). I don't know how people behave in the country, we keep hearing that the rules are respected even less there. I passed through some villages where people wore masks. I mean, some listen and understand the situation, but there are some who don't. What do we say now? We say the following: yes, from May 15 we try to start relaxing, gradually, with adaptation.

At this moment we have to respect the rules we have for the last two weeks and we hope they will be the last. We don't follow the rules, we might find it's not the last two weeks. They might impose other restrictions, if we wake up with an explosive number of cases and intensive therapies blocked and with the elderly affected.

But we already have no patience for two more weeks to be without certain activities that maybe some of them would take us back completely. If we start socializing back, if we start and insist that we want to go to restaurants, we want to open restaurants, we want to do this, everything from May 15 (n.ed), clearly things could get out of control. No one says that the restaurants will not open, but no one says that they will open from May 15. No one is saying that they will reopen as they were before, there will be adaptations for every thing. Cinemas, theaters may not open at first, they may open later when we see that the spread is still under control."
