Samsung's very IMPORTANT decision for Apple Huawei

Samsung made a very important decision related to Apple and Huawei, one that in the end could be a pretty hard blow for Donald Trump and his ambitions regarding the Chinese. More precisely, those from Samsung made the decision to invest no less than 8 billion dollars in a new factory where they will produce processors and other types of chips for various companies.

Samsung he wants to regain orders from Apple, which now go to TSMC, but he wants to help Huawei make its processors, of course if it does not violate the new American legislation. Samsung is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world, even if its production technologies are inferior to those used by the company TSMC for its customers, the differences being large, and regarding the processors manufactured by it.

Samsung will build its factory in the city of Pyeongtaek in South Korea, and of course it will equip it with the latest generation equipment to be able to produce only the best possible components. Samsung wants to produce processors there including using the 5nm manufacturing process, just like those from TSMC, but as with the 7nm manufacturing process, it is unlikely that it will be as good from a technological point of view, which it's not very good.

“Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology, today announced plans to increase its foundry capacity at the company's new production line in Pyeongtaek, Korea to meet the growing global demand for ultraviolet solutions extremes (EUV). This new manufacturing facility will expand Samsung's manufacturing capabilities for the sub-5nm process and allow us to rapidly respond to the ever-increasing demand for EUV-based solutions.”

Samsung it made almost 10 billion dollars annually from Apple in the past, when the Americans manufactured their processors in Korean factories, but TSMC managed to "steal" those sales with its superior technologies. Samsung wants to change the situation at the moment, and the investment of 8 billion dollars is one of the biggest it has made so far in an initiative of this kind, the money can be recovered very easily if regain lost orders.

Samsung he announced everything officially during the past days, and now it remains to be seen if he will be able to complete his production program, and what effect the opening of the factory will have.
